Training Completed (60-90 days) $20.00

SAMCO is looking for a Utility Locator to join our team. The Utility Locator will be based out of our Indianapolis office and is responsible for providing on-site utility locates, photos of marking sites, and billing their completed job tickets.

The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of efficiency and is motivated to provide accurate results.

Responsibilities:

LOCATE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES IN A DEDICATED SERVICE AREA – BECOME CERTIFIED TO LOCATE SPECIFIC UNDERGROUND UTILITIES USING SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT IN A PRE-DETERMINED TIMEFRAME. BE PREPARED TO WORK OUTDOORS IN ALL POSSIBLE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

WORK AS A TEAM TO MAINTAIN AN ON-TIME JOB SCHEDULE – LOCATORS MAY BE SHIFTED TO A SPECIFIC JOB SITE IN ORDER TO HANDLE LARGER JOB TICKETS ON OCCASION.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work well as a team member
Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manner
Ability to lift to 55 pounds
Problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills
Knowledgeable about all safety requirements
